Good bye and thank you Mrs. Gavin.
We recently held a very special assembly in our school to say goodbye and thank you to Mrs. Carmel Gavin who finished teaching in St. Patricks' NS on Friday, 28th February. Mrs. Gavin gave over 25 years of service to the school and to the village of Rathvilly and beyond. She is a much loved and highly regarded person who we will all miss very much. She is a very caring, kind and fair teacher who always treated every child equally.
While it was a sad day, it was also a happy day and we wished her well on her new journey to Knockananna school to take up a new position as Principal there. Fr. McEvoy attended the assembly on behalf of the school board to make a presentation. Some of 6th Class also made speeches to thank Mrs. Gavin along with our Principal, Mrs. Molloy and also Mrs. Gavin's her long-
We would all very much like to congratulate her and wish her every success in the years ahead.
