CHINESE NEW YEAR
First Class recently celebrated Chinese  New Year in a very special way. The whole class prepared puppet dragons to mark the Year of the Dragon and  also decorated lanterns.   These lovely decorations were brought on a procession to every class in our school. One of our pupils, Sarah Wang gave a very informative lesson on the meaning of Chinese New Year and the significance of some of the symbols.   Everyone was taught how to say "Happy New Year" in Chinese.  It was a very enjoyable and educational occasion for all of the children.
As a special treat, Sarah's family organised some traditional Chinese food for the children in First Class to sample which was very kind of them.
Sincere thanks to Mrs. Cullen who put a lot of hard work into the preparations and also Sarah for her brilliant performance in every class.
