Some of our Fifth Class pictured with their teacher, Ms Molloy during our "Fun Day".
As part of their SESE Programme, Fifth Class planted lots of daffodil bulbs last October. These bulbs were tended with loving care by the children over the winter months and the result was a huge array of lovely daffodils in full bloom. Fifth Class sold bunches of the daffodils to parents and friends of St. Patricks' NS and were able to make a donation to the Irish Cancer Society. They also donated their unsold daffodils to the Irish Cancer Society for use on National Daffodil Day.
Pictured at the presentation are some ladies representing the Irish Cancer Society and some of the children from Fifth Class with their teacher, Ms. Eithne Molloy.
Some of our Fifth Class recently travelled over to Tullow Boys School to take part in a fun, debating competition. All the children from various schools in the county were invited to attend and were placed on mixed teams when we arrived at the venue. The children really enjoyed the experience and loved debating for the first time ever. Our school had several children in the final rounds, and one boy, Luke Walsh was on the overall winning team, which happened to be mentored by our very own teacher, Ms Eithne Molloy.
Everyone received a goodie bag after the event and it was a very educational and enjoyable day out. Well done to all involved and thanks to the parents who attended on the day also.

This 6 week course is taking place every Thursday morning and the instructors are teaching the pupils road safety and how to cycle correctly.
